Chronic pain can be debilitating, affecting every aspect of life—from sleep and mobility to mental health and emotional well-being. Traditional pain management approaches often rely on opioids or other pharmaceuticals that can have significant side effects or lead to dependence. But what if there was a different way?

Join us for an informative discussion on ketamine therapy for chronic pain, a breakthrough treatment that is changing the way we understand and manage persistent pain conditions such as fibromyalgia, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), neuropathic pain, migraines, and more.

Refreshments provided for the in-person event. If you can’t make it in person, rsvp to get the zoom link.

How Does Ketamine Work?

Unlike conventional pain medications, ketamine operates through unique mechanisms in the brain and central nervous system:

Interrupting Neurological Pain Loops – Ketamine blocks NMDA (N-methyl-D-aspartate) receptors, preventing the persistent activation of pain pathways that can lead to chronic pain syndromes. By disrupting these maladaptive circuits, ketamine can reset the nervous system and reduce pain perception.

Reversing Central Sensitization – In chronic pain conditions, the nervous system can become hypersensitive, amplifying pain signals even in the absence of injury. Ketamine helps to calm this overactive response, reducing the body’s exaggerated perception of pain.

Promoting Neuroplasticity & Healing – Ketamine stimulates the release of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), encouraging neural regrowth and repair in areas affected by chronic pain. This effect is especially beneficial for those who have experienced nerve damage or long-standing pain syndromes.

Modulating Inflammation & Mood – By interacting with glutamate receptors, ketamine not only alleviates pain but can also have anti-inflammatory and mood-enhancing effects, making it an excellent option for those experiencing both chronic pain and depression.
