Psychedelic Recovery – Community Building, Discussion and Support Group

January 29 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

In the early 1950s, psychologists began to discover evidence that entheogen and psychedelic medicines were highly effective for treating and curing alcohol abuse and addiction. Bill Wilson, the founder of Alcoholics Anonymous, even experimented with LSD and believed it could hold the key for many “alcoholics.” Ironically, the entire idea of AA came to him while on an experimental drug treatment known to produce psychedelic effects.

Unfortunately for millions of people dying from and struggling with addiction, this history and research were buried for nearly 70 years as“the war on drugs” criminalized these natural medicines in exchange for more profitable pharmaceutical drugs.

In recent years, public consciousness has shifted, the laws have begun to change, and the research has returned! Research overwhelmingly shows that entheogenic medicines such as psilocybin, LSD, ayahuasca, ibogaine, and 5-MeO-DMT can help individuals heal from trauma and depression, “rewire” their brain, end cravings, and stop addictive behavioral patterns. Many people describe their psychedelic journey as one of the most mystical and spiritually significant experiences of their lives, enhancing their introspection and compelling them towards a new outlook on their lives.

Come join the discussion, build community, and get support from other humans on their journey to heal from addiction. “Addiction” is not limited to drugs and alcohol but rather any attachment or pattern of behavior one desires to change. Come open-minded and ready to grow!

This group is for people who:

  • Have already experienced the transformative power of psychedelics.
  • Are currently using psychedelics on their healing journey.
  • Are interested in learning about psychedelics and how they may assist in their recovery journey.
  • Are interested in learning how psychedelics may help family or friends struggling.

Please note: Active users are welcome, but this is a sober space.
Please do not come to meetings under any influence other than love. This is not a 12-step meeting. This group can serve as a complement to other alternative and traditional recovery programs.

Disclaimer: This group does not offer psychotherapy or provide psychedelic substances.

We will start with a short grounding meditation, followed by introductions, and then move into conscious discussion.
